On May 8, the 15th Asia Pacific Initiative on Reproduction (ASPIRE) Annual Meeting opened in Beijing. At the opening ceremony, Professor Chen Zijiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, chair professor of Shandong University, and dean of the Institute of Women's and Child and Reproductive Health of Shandong University, was awarded the highest honor of the society - Honorary Membership. Only one ASPIRE Honorary Member is selected each year to highlight their high scarcity and honorary value.
ASPIRE is the most influential academic organization in the field of reproductive medicine in the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together clinicians and scientists engaged in fertility management and assisted reproductive technology, committed to raising awareness of infertility and assisted reproductive technology, and improving the level of infertility-related services in the Asia-Pacific region. According to the ASPIRE Constitution, Honorary Membership is the highest honor of the Society and recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions and truly outstanding contributions in the field of reproductive and reproductive medicine. The awardee must have made significant achievements in advancing reproductive science and medicine and benefiting the discipline in the region represented by ASPIRE.
