On January 30, 2026, Elsevier, a world-renowned information analysis agency, officially announced the 2025 list of "China's Highly Cited Scholars".
In 2025, a total of 6,310 scholars will be on the list, including 756 in the medical field. Academician Chen Zijiang of Shandong University, Professor Guo Sunwei of Fudan University, and Academician Huang Hefeng of Zhejiang University, Academician Martin of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Academician Qiao Jie of Peking University, and Professor Qian Richeng of the Center for Reproductive Medicine of Heilongjiang Provincial HospitalSix obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive scholars were selected.
It is reported that the statistics of the "China Highly Cited Scholars" list are based on Elsevier's authoritative citation and index database Scopus, which systematically displays the distribution of scientific research talents, the dominant disciplines and academic influence of institutions and universities in China, and identifies top scholars in key technical fields and key research directions. The list is released annually and has received widespread attention at home and abroad. The total number of citations of papers published by the selected candidates as the first author and corresponding author is at the top level in the corresponding disciplines in the country, and has significant international academic influence.
